KINGMAN – The City of Kingman Planning and Zoning Commission has a relatively light agenda for its meeting set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Powerhouse Visitor Center, 120 W. Andy Devine Ave.

The commission will consider a conditional use permit from applicant Ava Page of AAA Mobile Home Park, located at 2023 E. Morrow Ave. That permit would allow park-model homes to be considered recreational vehicles. If approved, six spaces at the park could be occupied by park-model homes.

Some residents of the park have told the City that they oppose the conditional use permit, as they say it could depreciate the value of their mobile homes.

The Planning and Zoning Commission will be provided with a brief update on the effort to select a consultant for the Zoning Ordinance Update Project. That project includes looking at the City’s sign code and a possible expansion of the Historic Overlay District.

Commissioners will also hear reports on items relating to planning and zoning on which City Council recently took action. Those include two rezoning requests and a zoning ordinance text amendment pertaining to roof-pitch standards of metal buildings.
